ascalise Posted March 6 Share Posted March 6 (edited) I recently changed my HW and have been having problems with my Windows 10 VMs. I have 2 of them. One is working fine, while the one I frequently use, is not. In my last machine, I had a GPU, which is not in the new one. I removed that section from the XML on both VMs and was able to boot both. Now after moving my domains folder back and forth because of a cache drive change, I cant make one of them boot. I am fairly new to all of this, well to be fair have been running unraid with these vms for a couple of years, just havent had to tinker. Current system is an H610M board with an I5-12400, 32GB DDR, 1TB nvme cache, and two 4TB sata drives. It is much much faster than my previous 4th gen i7 machine. As always these processes come with problems. Any help would be greatly appreaciated. ascalise Posted March 6 Author Share Posted March 6 Update: Reduced the ram of the VM to 8GB and it boots up instantly. Anyone know what might have changed to cause this? I have 4 VMs total: W10 8GB W10 16GB - This one in question before changing to 8GB Ubuntu 4GB Server 2022 8GB When this is failing to start, the other two Windows VMs are running. ascalise Posted March 8 Author Share Posted March 8 2nd udpate: This problem just started again with the same VM. The only difference is that I just upgraded ram to 64GB on ths machine. I did not change the ram allocation on the VMs. This is really getting frustrating. Quote Link to comment
