Featured Replies

Has the problem with this SATA controller been fixed with the latest linux kernel and driver fixes?

Still running 4.0 as all versions after that fail.

Thanks

I just finished pulling out my Abit Pro Board and putting in a Gigabyte. I should have tested that before I made the swap! DOH!!

Ok i have just tried 4.3 beta 1 and it sure looks like the problem with the jmicron controller is fixed  :)

The disc assignments were wrong initially but once i reset those everything seems to be fine.

I'm curious what problems you are speaking of. Are you speaking about getting it to work for IDE drives?

I just finished brining up a server on this board, and just read a thread in the WIKI, somewhat old, stating that from the on-board IDE it wil not work; that you need to install a controller; and that parity is quite a bit slower when you do that.

This was an issue with one of the SATA controllers not working.

This issue was resolved a while back.

For anyone using an AB9-Pro 4.3.1 is working fine.
