system locks up and becomes unresponsive

Featured Replies

Good afternoon,

I have set up my server using a few different online guides, as a whole its runs fine for months but every now and then it will lock up and be unusable until its restarted.

I have tried to pull the logs to see what me be the problem but the logs only start when the server is rebooted.

I have attached the logs I can find and my diagnostics report

Any help on the matter would be greatly appreciated

Updated to latest release, then enable the syslog server and post that after a crash.

And the persistent syslog?

If that is the persistent log covering the last crash there's nothing relevant logged, this usually points to a hardware issue, one thing you can try is to boot the server in safe mode with all docker containers/VMs disabled, let it run as a basic NAS for a few days, if it still crashes it's likely a hardware problem, if it doesn't start turning on the other services one by one.
