March 16, 200818 yr I had a weird thing happen today with unRAID. First we had a freaky power problem in the basement that caused the unRAiD box to power down. It rebooted and started checking parity and all was normal. Then, about an hour or so into the parity check, my two custom Sambe shares disappeared. I have a script that I run as part of the go script to add a couple of Samba shares - one to my MP3 files, and another for a standalone disk in the unRAID box. I was in the middle of writing to the standalone disk, and got an "error writing" message. I thought the power problem had recurred, and ran down to the basement, but everything was normal. Any ideas what happened? Here is the syslog. I don't see any log entries from the time the parity checks BTW, there were NO parity errors even with a lot of journaled writes.
March 16, 200818 yr No ideas here, the syslog is clean. Perhaps someone with Samba experience will have some diagnostic commands to try.
