March 14, 20242 yr During a recent parity check my parity drive became disabled. I restarted and unmounted and remounted to attempt to rebuild but now it is rebuilding VERY slowly. I assume it is an issue with one of the drives. But without parity I'm very concerned about what to do right now. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks. I have full system diag and log but not sure if its "safe" to just upload that here, or if I should just upload a portion or whatever.... tower-diagnostics-20240314-1941.zip Edited March 14, 20242 yr by caelar900 Posting Diag
March 14, 20242 yr You can post your diagnostics here for the pros. The "Anonymize diagnostics" box is usually checked by default.
March 15, 20242 yr Author Ive got two new hard drives ready to put in to help rectify the problem if necessary but I just don't know how to go about that from this point. Feels very precarious.
March 15, 20242 yr The drive with problem is Sdc which appears to be your parity drive. There is no point finishing the rebuild of parity until you figure out the cause. I'm no expert but if it was me I would stop the rebuild powerdown and replace/check power and sata cables to your parity drive including any splitter you have on that drive and try again.
March 15, 20242 yr Unrelated but your appdata backup and unbalance plugins are depreciated. The new version is appdata backup by KluthR and unbalanced is the name of the new unbalance.
March 15, 20242 yr Author Okay! Ill go ahead and check all the cables on that drive. Thanks so much! Edited March 15, 20242 yr by caelar900
