ZeblodS
Hello, I am currently using TrueNAS Scale (still on 22.12.1, using zfs-2.1.9-1) and I am contemplating switching my server to unRAID instead. But I have all my data on a 4 drives RaidZ created on TrueNAS Scale and I am not really willing to rebuild a whole array from scratch. I have most data backed up in some ways, but the retrieval from backup would be a very time consuming task that I am not willing to do unless absolutely necessary (meaning only if I lose the current working pool somehow). I made some research and found posts from about 8 months ago stating that importing a ZFS pool from TrueNAS isn't supported yet (well, 8 months ago). What about now? Is there a way to easily import my current ZFS pool into unRAID? At this point, it's basically the only step that potentially prevent me from using unRAID. And since I'm not an expert in using CLI I hope for an easy, and safe, way to do it. Thanks for reading all my rambling. Edited March 23 by ZeblodS grammar and stuff... Quote Link to comment
JorgeB
You can import the pool directly if zfs is on partition #1, if it's on partition #2, which is the Truenas default, you can use this: https://forums.unraid.net/topic/153274-how-to-non-irreversibly-migrate-from-truenas-core-with-zfs-to-unraid/?do=findComment&comment=1369139 Quote Link to comment
