Failed disk with no parity scenario

Featured Replies

Hi, I'm new to unraid and trying to find the answer to the following scenario:

- 3 disks in array, data present on all disks

- no parity, no cache

- several user shares, high-water allocation, split as required

- no disk shareas

- data from user shares backed up in regular intervals to external storage

Should 1 of the 3 disks fail and the disk is replaced, how to restore files in all user shares from external backup?

thanks

Just copy the data back from the backup, you can use for example rsync, it will only copy the missing data.
