November 22, 201114 yr using v4.7 Plus, not sure what other info is needed. I replaced the cache drive, which was working fine, for a smaller drive. Now it will not use the cache drive. All the shares are set to use it but it just sits there and all writes are parity writes. I've tried turning off the cache drive then turning back on. I tried setting the shares to not use the cache drive then back to use it. Still will not use the new cache drive. What can I do to make this work? Thanks in advance!
November 22, 201114 yr Can you write directly to the cache drive? The cache drive should have a share just like your user shares. See if you can write a file directly to that share.

November 22, 201114 yr using v4.7 Plus, not sure what other info is needed. Your cache settings. (specifically min-free space setting... remember, it is in 1k units) Your user-share settings (is the use of the cache drive enabled) Your free space listing of the cache drive (nothing will be written to it if full, or less than min-free space remains)
November 22, 201114 yr Author I've attached a current syslog, just did a fresh reboot. Also saved the old syslog in case this one didn't show needed info, if so I will post that one. I just did a screenshot of my Shares page. If that won't work for you I'll write it all out, just LMK. Space on the cache drive: Size: 488,386,552 Free: 488,338,800 syslog-11-22-2011-9-30-am.txt
November 24, 201114 yr Author I'm not sure of what might have changed but the cache drive is now working? I've changed nothing so it's quite strange but I just wrote to a share and it wrote it to the cache drive.
