bloodedcyborg
Hey all, first time watcher long time caller. I have an HP ProLiant DL385p Gen8 server with 24 bays for drives, a 4 port NIC, two GPUs installed for VMs, NVMe for Cache, and last but not least running a 24/7 Palworld multiplayer server, allegedly running to support 2K players (PalDivine [Normal - PvE]). Right now the server is rock steady around 30 FPS, but I am not sure if there is any limitations going on caused by Unraid/configs/etc No other services are running. I know this BareMetal is probably not the best in regards against to a bunch of Threadrippers, but this was a hand me down system from 2019 that I picked up for free in 2021. So I decided to stretch this beast to see how far it can go. I do have the docker running on a spare SSD with Palworld on it as well. I will post my specs below. I would like to know how well Unraid can support this type of hardware or if there is anything I should do differently with the Unraid setup for this type of system? Or a proper config with thein the System boot manager, etc. Or if my configuration is fine also lmk, as I am very new to this! I would like to know if a docker container can use a GPU as well for any rendering calls, or if it's even possible. Much appreciated! 😁 Spoiler System Information - Processor 1 Processor Name AMD Opteron(tm) Processor 6348 Processor Status OK Processor Speed 2800 MHz Execution Technology: 12/12 cores; 12 threads Memory Technology 64-bit Capable Internal L1 cache 576 KB Internal L2 cache 12288 KB Internal L3 cache 16384 KB Processor 2 Processor Name AMD Opteron(tm) Processor 6348 Processor Status OK Processor Speed 2800 MHz Execution Technology: 12/12 cores; 12 threads Memory Technology 64-bit Capable Internal L1 cache 576 KB Internal L2 cache 12288 KB Internal L3 cache 16384 KB - LocationNumber of SocketsTotal MemoryOperating FrequencyOperating Voltage System Board 24 128 GB 1333 MHz 1.5 V - Firmware Version Info Firmware NameFirmware VersionLocation iLO2.82 Feb 06 2023System Board Intelligent Platform Abstraction Data1.08System Board Intelligent Provisioning1.62.31System Board Power Management Controller Firmware3.3System Board Power Management Controller Firmware Bootloader2.7System Board Redundant System ROMA28 09/03/2014System Board SAS Programmable Logic DeviceVersion 0x0CSystem Board Smart Array P420i Controller6.68Embedded System Programmable Logic DeviceVersion 0x23System Board System ROMA28 09/03/2014System Board System ROM Bootblock05/05/2012System Board - Power Supply Summary Present Power Reading: 394 Watts Power Management Controller Firmware: Version3.3.0 Power Status: Redundant HPE Power Discovery Services Status: N/A High Efficiency Mode: Auto Power Supplies BayPresentStatusPDSHotplugModelSpareSerial NumberCapacityFirmware 1 OK Good, In Use Yes Yes 656362-B21 660184-001 5BXRD0DLL3XZQE 460 Watts 1.03 2 OK Good, In Use Yes Yes 656362-B21 660184-001 5BXRD0DLL3XZR6 460 Watts 1.03 Quote Link to comment
