Starter License device limit advertising doesn't match what is delivered (4 devices vs 6)

Featured Replies

Just bought a license and the site (https://unraid.net/pricing) clearly states "Attach up to 6 storage devices" for the starter license and there is no wording after clicking "buy now" that I could easily find that states that I will be limited to 4 devices. On my unraid server I can go to Tools > Registration and I'm getting the following message: "5 out of 4 allowed devices – upgrade your key to support more devices"

I do not wish to upgrade to a license that advertised itself as allowing up to 6 devices.

You should contact support about this.   They were going to offer a 4 device licence but then published the bottom licence was 6 devices so it looks like there is something falling through the cracks on device limit checking.

Thanks! I have reached out via that form as well. I actually did that first and the response email says to post here "as the best way to receive a quick answer to most technical problems." This isn't exactly a technical problem and I think they should be able to handle my issue, but also wanted to post here in case anyone is having the same issue. I'll update this post once the issue is resolved.

Update to v6.12.9 and you should see the correct device limit.

  • Yep, upgraded and I now see the correct device limit. A note about this on the purchase page and release notes for v6.12.9 would be a great help. Forgive me if I just missed it. :)
