Unraid 6.12.6 on QNAP TS-264 - Only Two Drives - Want to move to bigger drives

Featured Replies

Hello, I'm new here and it was a miracle I got my Unraid and all my Docker apps set up and functional working with each other well.

I have a bit of a dilemma.  I only have two drives (Dual 12TB) and I want to transfer everything to two 20TB drives.  I was hoping it was just as easy as perhaps using a disk cloning program on my PC or something along those lines.  Would it work to put one old drive in my computer and one new drive and do a disk copy that way and then do the same with the other disk?

I understand that Unraid seems to be looking dealing with serial numbers to some extent in this whole thing.

I do have an external USB to SATA enclosure, and I do have Unassigned Devices installed. I've read things all over the internet but none of them see to really meet my scenario.  Also, if possible, I want to move to ZFS, I am currently using XFS.

I was kind of an idiot, and I sold the two 12TB drives and the guy is chomping at the bit to get them, and I told him I still needed to move the data.

So, the major players here:

  1. QNAP TS-264 Two-Drive Bay NAS
  2. Two 12 TB SATA drives (So no parity) with 9TB used on one and 6.55TB used on another (So 15.55TB total)
  3. Two 20 TB SATA drives
  4. One WD Black SN850X 2TB as my cache drive.
  5. One USB to SATA enclosure.
  6. One Windows PC with at least two SATA ports available.
  7. Gigabit Network
  8. 6 or 7 Docker Apps. Most of which work with each other. (Almost all used for serving up media)
  9. Guy who has *no* clue how to accomplish this.

And this screenshot can give some details.

Not sure if this helps, but:
