November 23, 201114 yr Hi there.. I'm looking at writing a plugin to allow you to make a custom share to a specific folder through the unRaid mounts - for example if I want to share /mnt/user/My-Media-Share/Movies/Action I could create an 'action-movies' share directly for that folder. I'm pretty comfortable with getting the gui working with Tom's plugin system, but I'd love some advice on getting the actual sharing working. Does any one have a "best practices" for adding shares without interfering with what unRaid does? Is there a plugin that does this kind of thing that I could take apart for some help? Has any one tried this? I've looked at a few.. and SNAP seems to be almost what I want... but it doesn't seem to be 5b compatible. Thoughts? Cheers, whiteatom
November 23, 201114 yr You can use the smb-extra.conf file to define different Samba shares. I'd think you just re-start Samba after changing the file. Here are a few examples of it's use, search would turn up more info. http://lime-technology.com/forum/index.php?topic=4185.0 http://lime-technology.com/forum/index.php?topic=4110.0 Peter
