Could not read user shares beta3 (ITS BACK!!!)

Featured Replies

I installed beta 3 last night without a problem.  Did the reboot and the user interface confirmed beta3.  This morning I tried to get to one of my user shares and I couldn't.  Windows said I didn't have permissions.  I don't have user security enables.  I then tried an individual disk and it worked find.  So I tried to stop and start the array and same thing.  I ended up stopping the array turning usershares off and then started the array.  I then stopped the array and turned user shares back on.  Started the array and I tried a users share and it went right to the directory.

Ok strange things are happening.  Every so often I can't connect to the server and stream videos.  I can log on to the web interface no problem.  When I try to use my network places to view a share a log on and password prompt come up.  Now my first post I thought it was the user shares however the past 3 times all I did was stop the array and then restart it and every time after the restart no more user prompt.

I'm at a loss as of what to do and wondering why no one else is having this problem.

Any suggestions would be great.

Thanks

Erik

The describtion of shares not available, logon screen and a fix by stop/restart, fit exactly what Im experience.

And I find absolutely nothing in the syslog :-))

But Im messing with Firefly, and thought it was related to that.

I have the problem with 424, not much with 43b3. But with 43b3 I cant get Firefly to work.
