Invalid, missing or expired registration key

Featured Replies

I'm unable to start my array following an unplanned power outage this morning. I see the message "Invalid, missing or expired registration key."

I ran dskchk on the boot drive and found no errors. I plugged the boot drive into my PC and saw both Lifetime.key and Trial.key. I deleted Trial.key and am still seeing the same issue. I also tried booting into safe mode without success. I do not have a backup of the boot drive.

Any ideas?

Key is being detected:

Apr 4 11:01:34 bigNASty emhttpd: Lifetime key detected, GUID: 0..1 FILE: /boot/config/Lifetime.key

Can you start the array? Also check Tools - Registration and see if the registration info appears correctly there.

@JorgeB I cannot start the array as the start button is inactive. Also the registration page looks good. Below are some screenshots of what I see.

That's strange, suggest you contact support so they can send you a new copy of the key, in case it's damaged, but not sure how some parts work and others don't.

  • Solution

Unraid 6.12.8 does not have proper support for Lifetime keys. Please upgrade to Unraid 6.12.10

It may be a different issue, recommend posting the diagnostics.
