Cannot replace 2 failed disks (with two parity drives)

Featured Replies

Hello,

two of my disks failed. Somehow the array started with two disks missing. Disk 4 was simply not showing up and seemed to be "skipped" while disk 5 showed up with a red X as missing.

I physically removed the old disk and replaced them. UnRaid is telling me that I can't start/rebuild the array "You may not add new disk(s) and also remove existing disk(s)."

What do I do from here?
I also added the Diagnostics.

Thanks in advance.

According to that screenshot there never was a disk4 assigned, the error you are seeing is because you cannot replace disk5 and add a new disk4 at the same time.

Diags are after rebooting, so we can't see what happened with disk5, but if you think it failed, just replace disk 5 and start the array to rebuild, you can add a new disk4 after that if you want, keep old disk5 intact for now in case it's needed.
