4224 fanplate in older Norco 4220

So a while ago I got the new fanplate that came with the 4224, that was also supposed to fit in the 4220, but doesn't...

 

I remember seeing a thread here where somebody used a dremel to make it fit... does anybody know where that thread is?

    Sorry, i don't know where the thread is, but as an FYI, do not try to make it fit, it will bend the chassis outward.

    Not trying to sway you one way or the other. If you decide not to mod and have no need for the plate I would be interested. I just ordered a 4224 and was looking to order a fanplate once the unit arrived.
