unassigned new disk will not format

unassigned  new disk will not format. This is a new setup and I am new to Unraid. my issues is the disk drive is new and i wanted to format to install it in my raid. i see it in unassigned devices, click format, box come up, type "yes' and nothing happen. what am I Missing.
