Using a VPS for Unraid to get a static IP via VPN for a Home Mailserver mailcow?

Featured Replies

Hello everyone,

I wanted to ask if and how it is possible to use a static IP address from a VPS via VPN in Unraid or Fritzbox.

In the end, the goal is to use the static IP address for my mail server. Preferably via WireGuard.
Has anyone had any experience with this or even installed it? Is it enough to configure WireGuard on Unraid and simply connect the VPS via VPN? Furthermore, of course, open the ports.

Which VPS provider can you recommend?

Thanks!

yes its possible, you need to get a vps with the ability to install pfsense on it and a local pfsense as well and create a wite to site connection with Wireguard.

I actually dont have portforwarding on my 5G router so  forward 2 ips to my local network, a bit complicated but not impossible
