DOCKER SAFE NEW PERMS

Featured Replies

I'm looking to run the "DOCKER SAFE NEW PERMS" tool for my Media share stored on my array. The issue is that it's excluded here for some reason. When I check "FIX COMMON PROBLEMS", it does not show up in the exclusions list. I've tried manually adding it to the exclusion list then removing it, but that didn't seem to make any difference.

What am I missing?

usually only shares that have appdata on them are set to exclude, i'd confirm there is no appdata on the share at all

This command seemed to work for me:

newperms /mnt/user/NameOfShare

Any path in the template that has either a share (/mnt/user/shareName or the direct disk equivalent /mnt/cache/shareName) which has a container path on any template of /config is automatically excluded as it is an appdata storage location by convention.

Also, the default appdata location (Settings - Docker) is also automatically excluded and the script will never allow you to run on it.
