SCSI Posted November 30, 2011 Posted November 30, 2011 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813182211R If anyone is looking for an open box SUPERMICRO MBD-X8SIL-F-O, it is currently available at Newegg.
okolowicz Posted November 30, 2011 Posted November 30, 2011 For anyone interested in this board at that price I highly recommend to keep checking Newegg for it. I bought one last week at that price (free shipping too!) and while it sold out shortly thereafter, it appears to be popping in and out of stock.
Rajahal Posted November 30, 2011 Posted November 30, 2011 Thanks for the tip. Now if only they would let you use their 'auto-notify' option on open box deals...
SCSI Posted December 6, 2011 Author Posted December 6, 2011 Alive again correction: SUPERMICRO MBD-X9SCM-F-O http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813182253R
WeeboTech Posted December 6, 2011 Posted December 6, 2011 Alive again correction: SUPERMICRO MBD-X9SCM-F-O http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813182253R Dam I had it in my cart to purchase and then it was gone.. *sigh*. If another one of these MBD-X9SCM-F-O comes up please repost!
JackBauer Posted December 6, 2011 Posted December 6, 2011 I'm surprised they seem to get a lot of these "open boxes" in stock. Because they're like the most awesome MB ever - not sure why people would return them
c3 Posted December 6, 2011 Posted December 6, 2011 They get the open boxes because these motherboards often do not work with borderline power supplies. But be careful as I have received one with bent CPU pins. Open Box typically sell out on first sale because there is only one, which is why I never post them. I buy it While X9SCM is a favorite for some, the rest of the series are very note worthy. X9SCM 4 PCIe slots (2 8x and 2 4x) X9SCL 3 PCIe slots (2 8x and 1 4x) X9SCA 3 PCIe slots (1 16x and 2 4x) and 3 PCI slots X9SCI 1 PCIe slot 16x and 1 PCI slot of course the -F is useful for headless/remote servers.
