Rocketraid-2680 SAS

Featured Replies

Is the RR-2680 SAS card supported by either 4.7 or any of the latest betas?  I have 2 installed with the latest bios and the disks set to JBOD and nothing shows up in unraid?

I have the same question.

Here is a link to the controller

I currently have a 20% coupon for this...making it 85 shipped.  The 8 lane Supermicro SAS is still 109, so this deal could save me 30 bucks or so on my build....any help would be great

This card seems to have some issues on Ubuntu, so I doubt it will be problem-free with unRAID.

pilotguy: Try messing about in your motherboard's BIOS to see if you can get the drives to be recognized by unRAID.  The first thing to do is to disable all motherboard features that you aren't using (serial ports, parallel ports, onboard audio, etc.).  This will free up some IRQs that the controller card might need.  Also look for anything related to 'PEG' mode and disable it.  If that doesn't fix it, then look in the card's BIOS for a NO-RAID mode (as opposed to JBOD).  If it still doesn't work, then send an email to LimeTech and ask if a driver for this card can be added into the next unRAID beta.

Did anyone have any joy with this card and unRaid?

I have one which i would like to use but want to be sure it works before spending too much time on it.

Thanks

Dan
