April 12, 20242 yr Good evening. I have been messing with my server, moving hardware, and wanted to install the whole thing again. On Unraid connect, I see my servers, and the key that I want to use, I cant download that key? or any other keys that I have bought? And when I insert the link I received a few months back into Tools->Regristration->Install key, it gives me error 8. Is the registration server or similar down? Wierd thing is tho. I may have messed something up, but. The GUID on Unraid connect, and the GUID that recived per e-mail, are the same. Means that I have never switched USB-keys However. I'm 98% certain that the USB the orginal Unraid was installed on is the same USB that I have now, only issue is that the GUID dont match. Can the GUID by some freak thing change? I were under the impression that it was hardcoded onto the chip, and couldent be mangled with. Again. I may have messed something up, and accidentally switched the keys around with a key that I have used prior. Its not blacklisted since I'm running a trial, and the installment process failed, and if I recall, ittold me that it dident have a GUID. """" I'm tirred, it may have happend. It's a Sandisk btw, and I have read to stay away from those, and I agree completly. They are wierd.
April 13, 20242 yr Solution Error 8 usually means the URL isn't correct. On older keys if something changed (name, email address etc), then the original URL might have changed. Either way, you need to contact support and also show them a copy & paste (no screenshots) of what is appearing within Tools - Registration and they'll get it all worked out for you.
