Having Wireguard tunnel active stops server accessing the internet

Featured Replies

Hi

So I have set up "remote access to lan" within the Unraid VPN settings for my phone to connect externally; however, when it is active, Unraid will then not access the internet. I get the API connection error and I cant download apps ECT When it's deactivated, it works fine.

How do I fix this as when I'm not in home I like to be on my Lan for DNS & Security reasons.

I know it "can" work as i have the LinuxIO Wireguard docker installed and it works without an issue but for ease i would prefer to use the built in VON option

This is not normal.

Do you have the WG Docker container enabled at the same time? Maybe there is some sort of conflict.

I'd suggest stopping the Docker container and following the guide here to set up the built in one: https://forums.unraid.net/topic/84226-wireguard-quickstart/

Get "Remote access to LAN" working before trying something else.
