April 15, 20242 yr Got a setup with 2x14TB drives and I am doing a parity check. Just wanted to make sure that it should be showing just 14TB when checking and not 28TB. Thanks!
April 15, 20242 yr Community Expert Yes. The size is the amount of parity to be checked. With multiple parity drives they happen in parallel so the size is that of the largest parity drive (if they are different).

Thanks for the reply itimpi, I have done 2 parity checks and both are showing errors. Error count - 23425 I have done 2 checked without correcting. I looked at all hard drives and all pass S.M.A.R.T but I know there can be other things going on. Any insight would be great.
April 16, 20242 yr Community Expert If the checks were non-correcting and you get the same number each time then you should run a correcting check (which will also give the same number), and after that subsequent checks should return 0; not possible at this stage to know the original cause.

I will let this check finish, then start a new one to correct errors. After the correct errors check should I run it after that to confirm?
April 19, 20242 yr Author Hello, Trying to reboot/shutdown my unraid as I was copy files over and things came to a halt. I shut down all dockers and trying to reboot and it not restarting. Any ideas to reboot without a dirty shutdown?
