December 3, 201114 yr I know that unRAID has the ability to be hooked to an APC UPS and to have a script to shutdown when power is lost and just running on battery. Is there any specific models that work with this ability? I am looking at adding an UPS to my server and want to make sure I pick a correct one for this.

I think all but the cheapest model have one. it will work with those with serial ports too , although I think it has a special pinout on their serial cable. (assuming your unRAID server also has a serial port) They wanted to to purchase their overpriced cable rather than a simple serial cord. But then, the USB cable is exactly the same mindset. USB on one side and a 10 pin connector that looks like a LAN cable on the other.
