April 22, 20242 yr Hey everyone, I've been encountering some persistent issues with my Unraid server lately, and I could really use some help troubleshooting. Over the past month, my server has been intermittently becoming unresponsive. Although I can log in to the web portal and access settings or the Main tab without any issues, whenever I try to open the VM or Docker tab, it just gets stuck on a loading screen indefinitely. Even trying to reboot the server using the shutdown command from the terminal hasn't been successful. Additionally, none of the dockers or VMs on the server are reachable on the network during these episodes. Initially, I noticed the CPU wait time was spiking, I suspected a specific Docker or two might be causing the problem. I stopped the Dockers, and for about 28 days, everything seemed fine. However, after updating to version 6.12.10 last weekend and rebooting the server, the issue resurfaced. I'm eager to get to the bottom of this. What files do you need me to upload so you can take a look at the logs and help me troubleshoot? Thanks in advance for any assistance you can provide!

April 22, 20242 yr Community Expert Unfortunately there's nothing relevant logged, I do see some errors related to a CD/DVD drive, but those should not cause the server to crash, one thing you can try is to boot the server in safe mode with all docker containers/VMs disabled, let it run as a basic NAS for a few days, if it still crashes it's likely a hardware problem, if it doesn't start turning on the other services one by one.

I'd love to try that again I tried that when the server last become unresponsive but it is not consistant when it does this I have had it work fine for 6+ months with no issue then in feb/march it started to become unresponsive with cpu wait at 100% i tried having all dockers powered off and slowly started one every few days, then it was fine for 30 ish days, now its happeneind again
