ruthlessone Posted December 7, 2011 Posted December 7, 2011 So seems I have an issue with SickBeard reading files that are downloaded on my Win7 box and transferred over to the array. I know I can log in terminal and fix it, and have.. But whats the root of the issue and can it be solved? ubuntuaddicted Posted December 7, 2011 Posted December 7, 2011 how are you transferring them over to your unRAID server from windows 7? do you have shares mounted via SMB from the unRAID server on your windows 7 computer? (mapped network drive?)
ruthlessone Posted December 8, 2011 Author Posted December 8, 2011 sickbeard is on the unraid machine.
ubuntuaddicted Posted December 8, 2011 Posted December 8, 2011 What user owns the sickbeard process? i am going to guess its run by root but I could be wrong. to make sure you have sickbeard installed and running correctly did you follow this tutorial? http://lime-technology.com/forum/index.php?topic=14212.0
ruthlessone Posted December 10, 2011 Author Posted December 10, 2011 Yea all files from sickbeard are fine.... The problem is when a transfer of a movie or TV from my Windows7 machine that I download seperate, say from rapidshare, and drop into the array. This is my issue. Anything that is downloaded by the unraid box is just peachy..

ubuntuaddicted Posted December 12, 2011 Posted December 12, 2011 The root of the issue is who you're using to write the file from win7 to your unRAID server. Also possibly how u share out your unRAID shares. If your usernames aren't the same on your server and win7 boxes look into mapping users in your smb.conf file. Tapatalk is tha shizzle
