ruohki
Hey, I decided to put some 2.5” 5 TB Drives from Seagate into my array. The parity rebuild is shockingly slow now, am I missing something? Or are these things really THAT bad? Quote Link to comment

JorgeB
No errors logged, and SMR disks should perform normally on reads, could be an issue with one of them, you can pause the sync and run the diskspeed docker to see if they are performing normally there. Quote Link to comment
ruohki
I was just about doing what you told me, then I checked the current speed, and it went back to 130mb/s. Right now, it sits at 60mb/s what is happening here :D? Quote Link to comment
JorgeB
Can still be a disk issue, they can have slower zones. Quote Link to comment
Kilrah
Are you accessing the array at all at the same time? Any other read/write will slow down the check, it only runs full speed if nothing else touches the array. Quote Link to comment
