April 25, 20242 yr I have a question on UPS for my unRAID. I have the CP1350PFCLCD from CyberPower. Today, we had a power outage for an extended period of about 15 to 20 minutes. It did go into shutdown mode and turned off my unRAID server. The only thing I disliked was that my UPS shut off also. If that happens when I'm gone, how will I get my UPS to turn back on without physically pushing the UPS power button?
April 25, 20242 yr Unless your UPS has a feature to automatically turn on when power is restored - you don't.

If it turns back on unattended, how will you know if it is safe to turn back on, there may still be events happening that it would be better to stay off until things blow over, maybe literally. It's best practice to monitor the server startup, so you can intervene if things aren't going well.
