April 27, 20242 yr ... add Drives and then fill them one by one? Background ist that I so not have enough empty drives and have to add them one by one. XFS is the best Option in my Case, right? Best wishes
April 27, 20242 yr Author thanks for letting me know. What would an extra SSD (Sata) help me as a cache drive? Is this where I can install all the docker applications and stuff?

April 28, 20242 yr Author is it safe to use those when my PSU does not have enough connectors? I currently have 6, but need 10.

I would avoid those where the wires go vertically into a moulded SATA connector as those are the most likely to have manufacturing flaws that can lead to fire hazards. You are better off getting ones that are molex->SATA and have this sort of form factor. They come with varying numbers of SATA connectors - probably the 4-way being the most commonly used.

The SATA connection at the host end can typically not carry enough current to handle a 4-way SATA split without voltage SAG. If you want a 4-way splitter then you are better off using a Molex->SATA one.
