Unraid warning for Plugin deprecated / not working

Featured Replies

I hope Unraid can add a Plugin Warning (both UI icon, and Unraid Alert) when it is not supported / deprecated / not working for any reason.

For example, a while ago (since Unraid 6.12 apparently) the Plugin "CA Backup / Restore Appdata" stopped working.

When you open this plugin, it says to install "Appdata Backup" instead with a banner.

I'd like to think I maintain my Unraid server proactively, but I had not found out. A whole year of backups not-existant. Ofcourse you discover only when you need these.

This wont be the last plugin that is deprecated or non-functional. Unraid should have a mechanism to discover problem and notify the user.

Things that I exected / might be improved:

  • The Unraid plugin page does not indicate a warning for this plugin.
    • No warning for the deprecated plugin version
    • No warning for the disabled/failed backups of plugin
  • The Unraid notification alerts have not signaled me.
    • as far as I can remember
    • as far as I can see in the Unraid log
  • The Unraid FixProblems plugin does not report this. (like it does for e.g. Unbalance > Unbalanced)

Probably these can be posted as different feedbacks to different projects? If yes I suppose this is the overview.
