April 27, 20242 yr Hi at all, can I buy these items and they should work just fine on my planned unraid system with 8+4(onboard) HDDs? or do I have to flash something in advance? HDDs are currently external 4TB and 8TB which (I guess) will have to have the 3.3v PIN isolated when they are shucked for internal use and will not show up, right? when upgrading CPU/RAM/Mainboard Unraid does not care in the future, does it? best wishes! April 28, 20242 yr the cables are wrong. Those cables are for 7 pin fiber jbod external. also you want to use unraids software raid not the hba hardware raid you need to make sure it is in IT mode. you will need a mini sas connector for the HBA card see EU links:
