March 25, 200818 yr With the help of weebotech Firefly runs on 424 When I try to start it on 43b3 I get an error: "Error while loading shared libraries: libgdbm.so.3" I have no clue what it is, but is it something that were present in 424, but removed in 43b3 ? /Rene
March 25, 200818 yr Looks like libgdbm was removed from the environment. Get this package http://packages.slackware.it/package.php?q=current/gdbm-1.8.3-i486-4 Put it in /boot/packages Then run installpkg /boot/pacakges/gdbm-1.8.3-i486-4 Then rerun the S20-init script for mt-daapd. I'll provide a new init script later on this eve which will do this upon boot up.
March 26, 200818 yr It seemed like my troubles were not over and I needed something more as I got this: "libgcc_s.so.1 must be installed for pthread_cancel to work" Google was my friend so I found gcc-3.4.6-i486-1.tgz. Installed it and firefly seems fine... I dont really know what it is :-) /Rene Heh - you just installed the C compiler and libraries! You can now develop code on your unRAID libgcc is one of the smaller libraries - I'll put it back too.
March 28, 200818 yr How is firefly working? I use OS X as well, and would be interested in installing firefly as well. Would you share the steps necessary to implement when all dependencies are available in 4.3? Roland
March 28, 200818 yr I'll publish full instructions. The install script that is put into the go script does the install everytime you boot. It also saves the config files upon proper shutdown and restores them upon startup.
