Server crashes daily

Featured Replies

It seems that every morning when I wake up, I have to hard reset my unraid server. The server remains on, but the activity lights show no activity. When I plug in the monitor it shows a black screen and a keyboard will not do anything. When i hard reset the machine it functions fine throughout the day, but the next morning will result in the same thing. I turned on (mirror syslog to flash). I have attached it below. Not sure if this is relevant to the issue, but the log says "failed to renew DHCP, rebinding". Hopefully someone can help.

The link is about changes to make in your BIOS to make your Ryzen server more stable.

Do you know how to access your BIOS?

I do…nowhere in my bios shows anything about C-State or power idle control. I have noticed that right before the server crashes, I can hear the fans rev up, and when I pull up the web GUI, the CPU activity is high. It happened this morning immediately after watching something on Plex. I do notice that this happens when it’s halfway through a parity check. I turned off the scheduled parity check to see if it persists.

Parity check had nothing to do with it. It still crashed again today.

I for the life of me cannot figure out why it keeps crashing in the middle of the night. Its always typically around the same time. I've even changed flash drives. I'm about to re-build the whole thing (mobo, cpu, psu, etc.)
