May 5, 20242 yr Hello, I want to remove 2 drives from my array, they have been everything moved off of them. I want to add another another 16tb drive as parity, Can i do this all in one process and then rebuild parity? Is this as simple as removing both drives > add new drive > new config > and rebuild parity? Cheers

You will find that the section on the New Config tool in the online documentation accessible via the Manual link at the bottom of the Unraid GUI will answer your question. In addition every forum page has a DOCS link at the top and a Documentation link at the bottom.

So if i remove my 2 drives which is Disk 1 and 2 also the last time i did this i removed disk 4 and that has been an unassigned slot for a while, Do I go to new config and preserve or not, and do i just remove them aslong as the parity is the same, it will just rebuild and all the data will be fine?
May 10, 20242 yr Community Expert You can preserve all, then just unassing disks 1 and 2 and start the array to begin a parity sync, all data on the remaining disks will still be there.
