Is it possible to connect a mobile device to a commercial WireGuard VPN through Unraid's Wireguard like a gateway?

Featured Replies

Hello there!

Sometimes I need to connect to VPN using my smartphone (commercial VPN provider work by sending WireGuard configs), but my carrier blocks it, though my ISP at home doesn't. I was thinking if it was possible to create a WireGuard tunnel, that is connected to a commercial VPN, so I could route my phone traffic through Unraid to a VPN. I was trying to set it up myself in Unraid VPN manager, but with no luck. Googling has led, mostly, to wrong suggestions. Posting this issue to official subreddit was unsuccessful as well.

Something similar was done by spaceinvaderone in his "Virtual VPN router", but it was using a VM and for a home network. I was hoping to make everything with Unraid's built in tools.

Thank you for your suggestion!
I've scrubbed through the topic, but it seems no one in it had a problem similar to one I have.
I've even managed to create a VPN VM using Wireguard, which seems to be working, but can't figure what to do next. Would appreciate any help.
