(SOLVED) Is one of my drives dying? If so how bad/long might I have?

Featured Replies

Hello everyone, I'm sure this gets asked all the time but my monthly parity check finished a few days ago and says 0 errors, but I had a notification about an error on a disk cleared and when I logged in today it looked like I had another one. Ran short SMART test the other day and it came back clean, ran the extended one today and it came back with read errors. I have attached the diagnostics and smart report. I'm guessing this means the drive is probably dying? How long might I have before it completely dies? I haven't physically touched the server in probably a month plus so I don't think any cables would have come loose or anything.

Thanks!

Since the extended SMART test failed the disk should be replaced now.

Damn, wasn't ready to buy another drive yet. But figured that was going to be the answer. Thanks for confirming.
