First MCE Error - should I worry?

Featured Replies

I got an MCE error for the first time. It wasn't at boot, it was in the middle of the day. Unsure if it's just a random occurence, or something to be concerned about.

Full diagnostics logs attached, but the r relevant bit is here:

If it was a one time thing, and since the error was corrected, I would ignore for now, looks like it was a cache memory issue, but if it keeps happening, it could be a sign of the CPU going bad.

Yeah, so far it was a one time thing that happened 3 days ago. It was right after I updated to 6.12.0, so I wasn't sure if that was a possible cause or just a total coincidence - but it wasn't at boot, it was hours after in the middle of normal use. I'll keep an eye out to see if it happens again.

If it does keep happening you'd suspect the CPU and not the RAM / board?
