May 11, 20242 yr Author Can anyone give me any leads? What would it even mean for the avahi-daemon to be dropping legacy unicast packets for "not fitting". No clue what this is.
May 13, 20242 yr Navigate to Settings -> Network Settings and change your bond type to "active backup", see if that makes the errors go away. You can do that at Settings -> Notification Settings -> SMTP Settings

May 16, 20242 yr Please go to Settings -> Fix Common Problems and set "Log Ignored Errors/Warnings?" to "yes" so we can see what else it is warning about, then press Rescan and gather fresh diagnostics Then reboot into safe mode (this disables all plugins), run for a while and see if the problem persists. Take fresh diagnostics from here as well so we can compare.
May 16, 20242 yr A possibility... avahi is involved with mdns, but you don't have a local domain specified. Navigate to Settings -> Management Access and set the "Local TLD" to the word "local" (without the quote marks). This has been the default for some time now. Let's see if that helps.

Navigate to Settings -> Management Access and set the "Local TLD" to the word "local" (without the quote marks). This has been the default for some time now. Let's see if that helps. After googling these errors for the 100th time I did finally find some other people having similar issues on a TrueNAS forum. Everyone seems to think something wrong with avahi-daemon but no solutions in sight. https://www.truenas.com/community/threads/avahi-daemon-errors.94599/ There was one other unraid forum post where I saw a few people having the same issue but the thread went cold as well. Would really love to get this error out of my logs. I'm having some database performance issues that I've been trying to take care of for a while and can never quite be confident if this has anything to do with them. I did go and switch my network bonding mode back to Mode 5 (balance-tlb) since that seemed to have no effect. I know it supposedly is not supported.
