Hi everyone

 

I Have to upgrade the disk of my server. I now have 5x 1TB plus parity and cache and I think of going to 5x 2TB.

 

Since I have some Western Digital WD20EARS laying around here, and the prices of disks are still rather high I wanna start with the WD20EARS.

 

Will these WD's work reliable in my unraid server?

 

Are there any precautions I should take (jumpers, using WDIDLE3, TLER or so) on these disks?

 

How do I swap the parity Disk? Should I swap this one first? Is there a guide on how to swap a parity disk?

 

How do I upgrade the other disks? One at a time I guess.
