jonlai9 Posted December 17, 2011 Posted December 17, 2011 Hi, one of my data drives is showing signs of wear so I'm planning on replacing it with a new drive. I did some searching and found some steps on how to replace the drive, but none of them mention preclear. Where would the preclear script come into play? Would I first preclear on a separate channel first, and then replace the existing drive with it? Just want to make sure as I don't want to screw up. Thanks!

jonlai9 Posted December 17, 2011 Author Posted December 17, 2011 And if I understand correctly, after selecting the new drive as the drive to replace the old drive with, I simply click START and the array will automatically regenerate the files into the new empty drive? Thanks.
