May 17, 20242 yr So a bit of a backstory and some help required as I’m a complete newbie to unraid. i have a minipc running windows 10 which im using as a media server with a 2tb external hdd containing my media. ive just setup an unraid box which has a 500gb nvme and a really old 1tb 2.5” I had lying around to test out. Both the drives have been added to my array (no parity drives so I’m assuming they are just pooled together!?) I want to replace both of these with a 2tb 3.5” drive. I don’t have a lot of data as I’ve just been testing setting up Sab and the arr’s but it was so confusing that I’d like to keep everything setup as I currently have it. what’s the best way of doing it? How do I know which of my (current array drives/pool) has the data on it. from reading other posts it seems as if I need to install the new drive and set it to an unassigned spot and then copy the data from the (pool) onto the new drive and then I can just remove the old 2? I keep reading about doing a new config but I’m not sure what that is or if I need to do that? I have read the unraid documentation but am still equally confused hence the asking for help!
