User shares disappearing

Featured Replies

User shares disappearing. Shares will be empty then disappear. Only the shares on the cache drive stay intact. I have tried xfs repair on all of the drives including the flash drive. I know if I reboot the shares will come back but I have to reboot every hour. This happens if plugins have are installed or not. Works as it should in safe mode.

Post your Diagnostics from AFTER the shares have disappeared  in a new post in this thread.

You might want to run the check filesystem against disk 4

May 16 09:49:37 Tower kernel: XFS (md4p1): Per-AG reservation for AG 12 failed.  Filesystem may run out of space.

Or look at the SMART information from within your controller's BIOS if possible.  The SMART isn't showing up because of how the controller is configured, but that message sounds like the drive is out of its spare sectors to reallocate defects

Also, disk 5, 4, 3 and disk 1 (and more) are continually resetting themselves.  Poor connection at the SAS connector or power system?  Reseat everything

This is usually a power/connection problem.

The external port on my expander going to another expander in my DAS is loose. Also is safe mode not supposed to show disk errors and shares don't disappear?

Safe mode should still show any disk errors.

Safe mode should function exactly like normal mode except for the fact that no plugins are loaded
