Bmalone Posted May 26 Posted May 26 I have 2 Supermicro storage servers which have 2 x 10GbE ports and 2 x 1GbE ports. I only have on 10G port per server on my switch so there is no bind. Eth0 has the 10G connection. I would like to use eth1 to put on the VLAN where my backup Unraid server is so they can communicate over that VLAN. I would then like to create a bond by connecting both of the remaining ports to another switch I have, which supports LAGG, and have that on another VLAN, and create a separate bridge so any containers using that bridge can communicate with a Proxmox server I have on a different VLAN. Is this possible? I've tried creating new bond for eth 2 and eth3 and adding the VLAN I want them on but when I rebooted eth0 changes IP addresses and VLANs, even though I didn't make any changes to eth0 and everything went tits up. I had to delete the network.cfg file and start again. The documentation is really light, practically non-existen for more complex network setups so I thought I'd ask here. Quote
OrneryTaurus Posted May 28 Posted May 28 I tried doing this and had a situation where eth0 couldn't communicate to the internet so I reverted and said screw it for now. Quote
Bmalone Posted May 30 Author Posted May 30 Saw a lot of posts where people are having issues. It seems Unraid is okay for the simplest of network configs, but anything more advanced either isn't supported or is non-functional. Quote
