Changing the "Default partition format" on an existing array

I have a currently running array with 8 WD data drives ( 6 WD20EARS and 2 WD15EADS). All were precleared with the -A option but I was unaware of the setting to change the "default partition format" to "MBR: 4K-aligned" from "MBR: - unaligned". I would like to change it now to make all future pre-clears use the "4K-aligned" option automatically, but want to make sure first that changing that setting will have no impact on my currently running array. I presume it is fine to make this change but better safe than sorry.
