Hey Guys,

 

I'm running 5.0-beta12a for a while without any big problems.

Suddenly, out of nowhere, my server wasn't accessible from my mediaplayer and computer.

So I walked to the garage where my server is, put on the monitor, and all I saw was a black screen.

I tried to put in commands to reboot it, but all I got was the black screen and no reaction.

 

At last I even tried Ctrl - Alt - Del, with no result.

 

So I pulled the power cord and put it back on.

 

unRaid started normally, and when I started the array, all I got was "Mounting" on all disks, for 12 minutes.

After that, the array came back online and started parity - checking by itself.

Shares are working normally.

 

Any ideas of what could have caused this?

Parity Check finished in 2141 minutes..

That sounds like a hardware lockup to me.

 

Have you run a memtest for 24hrs before?

No, there was no special activity on the server in the last week.

I just used it for storage of my movies and tv series.

OK,

 

We'll call it a hardware lockup.
