Is there any indication on the 8087 SAS cable for the M1015 that tells you it will work at 6gbps?

    In general,

     

    SAS(1) and SAS2 cables are the same.

    A few companies have "certified" their cables as 6GB/s or SAS2. that just means they tested them.

     

    Bottom line, a 8087 cable is a 8087 cable... you are good and do not need to spend an extra bundle of cash on "monster cables" (not that they make SAS cables).
