UnRaid Server locks up at login prompt in console

Featured Replies

Hi Folks,

I have been having trouble with this for a while and haven't had the time to address it. This is a new install so there is no data to worry about. Though, I want to make this server a backup of my other unraid box. I want to make sure this runs with no issues before I transfer files over, which will be another thread since I have questions about that.

I start up my unraid server 4.7 and I am able to do a little bit a of moving around on the console but not long enough to try to get the syslog file.

What happens is no matter what I am doing in command line, all of a sudden, on the creen, I get;

Tower login:

Welcome to Linux 2.6.32.9-unRAID (tty1)

It will scroll with this several times. I try to enter the login info and it just gives me the same message above^

I looked for info on this and can't find anything, nor in troubleshoot manual.

I have to force a reboot by holding the power button in.

Any ideas?

Thanks,

Camel
