Dockers - Can't update, configuration not found (after flash drive failure)

Featured Replies

I got my system back up and running last week and just noticed that, while all my dockers are running and they seem to be working as they were before (which must mean the configs are ok?) - I cannot update any of them.  I get the following error:

In my setup I have a /mnt/user/appdata folder that has all of my configs in it.  In there I can definitely see old configs for dockers that I no longer have on the system.  So - I assume that has all of the configurations?

When I go to Community Applications, it shows the only Installed App as Community Applications.  Also - shows nothing for Previous Apps.

I seem to recall that I had some sort of appdata backup thing going too, but I do not see that anywhere either.

What is the proper way to get everything back without wiping out configurations for the dockers?

That means the docker templates are missing, they are saved in the flash drive, do you have a previous backup?

I do not believe that I have a backup.  It crashed hard and was no longer recognizable even to pull data from.

Then you will need to re-install them.

That was my main question... how do I re-install and keep all the settings?

You have to remember the settings you used at the Unraid level when you re-install any specific container.   The settings you used there are saved by Unraid to the flash drive (and that is what is used by Apps->Previous Apps) but since you have no backup of the flash drive Unraid cannot do this for you.

Understood.  How about the app-specific settings?  I mean I have things like Radarr/Sonarr/Sabnzb/Plex that are all essentially set up to work together.  Plex has lots of settings, of course.

If there's no flash backup you will need to reconfigure them all.

you have to setup all dockers for these apps like network, port, path but settings of the app itself should be in appdata folder assuming you install the same docker image.
