i have a bunch of ripped cds on my server and i'm thinking about dropping spotify altogether and just put a nice user interface on top of my (lossless) music media

 

i'm leaning towards navidrome

 

is anyone using something else in this scenario ?

Logitech/Lyrion Media Server.

Logitech media server here as well, whole house full of squeezebox devices but software player awesome too. Doesn't touch your music files either, just indexes. Some great plugins.

LMS for streaming in the house via raspberry pi (picoreplayer) or wiim clients etc using something like Squeezer for a mobile controller.

Navidrome works well as an alternative if your aim is to play directly through a browser or on a mobile device - I use DSub on Android for this. The container is much faster than the original subsonic.

I run both.

I simply use Plex for that. Works on my car via the mobile app, on my browser and I can also connect my phone to my home cinema via Bluetooth if I want to have it in my living room.

 

I use the PlexAmp app on mobile.
